Children's Ministries

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me,
and do not hinder them, for the kingdom
of heaven belongs to such as these."
- Matthew 19:14

At Beth Eden UMC, we recognize that children are a gift from God, which is why we place great emphasis on providing a safe, nurturing environment for them to learn about Jesus and grow in their faith. While we offer special programs exclusively for kids, we also integrate children and youth into our regular ministry areas, teaching them to love, serve, and be an active part of their church.

Children's Time

Sunday School is held before the worship service so that all ages can participate. During our worship service, we have a special Children’s Time where kids and youth are called forward for a brief message and prayer so we can acknowledge and bless them.

Sunday School

Sunday School welcomes all children and youth to a special

program before the worship service begins. Kids participate

in regular spiritual practices such as prayer and reading scripture

while engaging in music, arts, and games. Adults can attend their

own Sunday School program while their children

are at Sunday School.

Beth Eden’s caring nursery team offers childcare for small

children on Sundays during the worship services.

We plan to resume nursery care in the coming months.

Safe Sanctuaries

Beth Eden UMC is a Safe Sanctuaries Congregation. It is a safe place for “children, youth, and elders to experience the abiding love of God and fellowship within the community of faith.”

“Safe Sanctuaries is a ‘social structure that is consistent with the gospel’ allowing our sanctuaries, classrooms, mission encounters, camps and retreats, and all spaces where we gather to worship and serve God to be places of trust. Discipleship Ministries has created a series of videos that can be used to introduce the more difficult aspects of Safe Sanctuaries®, individually to open up conversations in small groups or during training, and as a way to share information with the congregation as a reminder or in the midst of a crisis.”
