The Purpose of the United Methodist Women
The Purpose is adopted by the General Conference of The United Methodist Church as the official mission statement of United Methodist Women:
“The United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church”
Then The United Methodist Women is a service group open to all women of the United Methodist church. Its provides women opportunities for fellowship and ministry in the church and beyond.
These groups’ yearly events include sponsorship of Blanket Sunday, a Soup Luncheon, a Women’s Spring Banquet, and the Crafts & Talents Festival in October. The United Methodist Women also serve lunches for funerals held at Beth Eden UMC.
Mrs. Barbara Stenger was recognized as the Women of the Year. We are grateful for her permanent service to God here at Beth Eden UMC
